Get to know Elise.

Hi, I'm Elise! I have dedicated my life to spreading love, hope, and faith to those around me. I have served in ministry in the Pacific Northwest, Nepal, the San Francisco Bay Area, the West Indies, and Minnesota.

 

Like the Portland native that I am, I love the Portland Trailblazers, brunch, 90s indie alternative music, flannel, and the forest. I married my high school sweetheart Jonathan who is an environmental scientist. We are parents of a teenage girl and a teenage boy, and the four of us have done ministry together in Mexico, Haiti, Dominica and Nepal.

 

I hold a Bachelors in Business Management from Warner Pacific and an M.A. in Global Christian Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary. I teach theology, biblical survey, church history, and worship theory. I am the current Pastor of Worship & Outreach at Oak Haven Church in the Twin Cities Minnesota. Through my teachings and pastoral work, I aim to inspire and guide individuals towards spiritual fulfillment. I believe God created artistic expression to give us ways to see glimpses of our Creator.

 

I love the uninhibited expression of the body of Christ in all its quirkiness and messiness. I believe there's something beautiful about a community that truly belongs to each other for better or worse.
